The Crimson Headquarters

As some may know, i am an aspiring architect, and enrolled in a Masters of Architecture program. I am on summer break right now though and, as i have time, have decide to make a computer model of a headquarters for the crimsonflame. I need a basis though, and a fair representation of the site, so this topic is to post your thoughts ideas and opinions on the matter. If no one has a problem with this, The first thinga i need to know are when (past present future ect.) where (Upper Michigan, Stockholm, a venezuelan jungle, Mars,ect.) and what for (corporate headquarters, PMC base, castle, survivalist camp, ect). So let's start with those.

big sprawling complex including an engineering facility, automated factory, agri tower, power station, game design and media studio, mall, light rail system, corporate tower and offices, a couple small parks, lots of solar panels, commons, dorm rooms and such

Some huge corporate skyscrapers, surrounded by smaller buildings of multiple use, an extravagently built main building, surrounded by fountains and expensive statues. A transport system, preferably train or bus. Large expanse of land under development around the main area of the headquarters. Fortified fence, with regular patrols and small watchtowers all around the headquarters. Smaller security force around the developing land. One entrance, heavily guarded and well moderated and also some security buildings at regular intervals along the developed land.

Cheap Building
Busiest Port in the US
Access to transportation lines to the US and Canada
Lots of both skilled and unskilled labor

Agreed, we can build it far underground in detroit, so we have cheap land, labour, geothermal heat, and then all we need is some sort of power generator.

id stick to solar rather than geothermal... especially in detroit.

I would not suggest drilling straight through a tectonic plate

I like the idea of Solar powered generators better than geothermal, Geothermal is more unreliable than solar.

Model it after Black Mesa. Without without "The barrel". If we have the barrel the very facility we make that'll made to stay safe from zombies will have ported things that turn people into zombies. But the chance of the combine going through the portal is pretty low; expecially since they don't actually exist.

Nuclear Plant? Capture Tony Stark and force him to make energy source?

An underground base would be nice, and so would a giant sub-marine. We need an R&D facility (quite possibly under ground, or in a hollowed out mountain[refrence]). Also, multiple buildings, for different divisions of TCF. Like Rot's dev HQ, some biotech firm... ect.
